Governor Gavin Newsom seemed to laugh off the idea that he could be recalled a few months ago, but he certainly isn’t laughing today. The grassroots effort to oust the California Progressive-Democrat have already acquired the 1.5 million signatures needed to force the recall onto ballots well ahead of the March 17th deadline. And local groups intend to continue gathering signatures to hedge against challenges to their validity.
The #RecallGavinNewsom has 1.5 million signatures but we still want 2 million signatures to make sure they cover the ones that get thrown out. Don’t stop signing, keep getting those signatures in! Let’s make it to 2 Million signatures!👍https://t.co/EZyyrDVo1m

We now have reports that in an unprecedented move, the RNC Chair has apportioned a $250,000 donation to fund the efforts to oust the California Governor who holds a 43% disapproval rating according to a January Poll.
Newsom’s term as Governor has been plagued with scandal, from mask-less dining with state health officials despite a statewide ban, to having a close aide charged with two felony counts of domestic violence against his wife and daughter. California Democrats have had very difficult start to 2021, with Congressman Eric Swalwell also finding himself in the crosshairs for consorting with a known Chinese spy. This could signal a red wave in the Golden state, which the RNC intends to seize upon.
Republican National Committee Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel stated,
“Gov. Newsom’s authoritarian measures, blatant overreach and complete mishandling of the COVID-19 pandemic have proven that he is woefully unqualified to lead the state of California,” McDaniel said in a statement. “It is time the people use their constitutional recourse to remove him from power.”
The Washington Examiner Reported,
“If you lived in California for the last 11 months, you have watched Gavin Newsom appear on your television for two or three hours a day, every single day,” Randy Economy, a spokesman for Recall Gavin 2020, said. “He has no clue what he’s doing, and yet, all he wants to do is make sure he is the one and only authority to get people out of this pandemic, and he’s failed. He’s failed miserably.”
Who Would Replace Gavin in a Recall?
According to a FoxNews report, “Several Republicans, including California businessman John Cox and former San Diego Mayor Kevin Faulconer, have already announced their intent to run for governor should the recall vote occur.” However, on the Democrat side of things, Lt. Gov. Eleni Kounalakis has called the effort “shameful” and said no Democrat should challenge him. “Governor Newsom does not deserve to be recalled. And I think it would be shameful for any Democrat to put their name on the ballot to replace them, myself included,” Kounalakis said in a statement to Fox News.
It was a 2003 recall election that brought moderate-Republican Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger to power when voters ousted then-Governor and convicted felon Gray Davis. In that case Davis’ Lieutenant Governor Cruz Bustamente did enter the race against him. He was later accused of undermining support for Davis at a critical stage in the election, costing Democrats the office.
In the mad world of 21st century politics, California, long-held as the mono-party monolith of progressive Democratic-Socialism, which leftists across the nation model themselves after, is now a battlefield once again. Who’s laughin’ now Gavin?
So when is Newsom gone? Get him out of here! He has not been good for CA. Piglosy is another one that needs to be gone from CA. Get these people out of here.
