The Justice Department is seeking severe punishment for the ex-leader of the Proud Boys, Enrique Tarrio, after he was convicted of seditious conspiracy in connection with the Jan. 6 Capitol riot.
Anyone else got a problem with the Feds unconstitutionally holding political prisoners for 2 years without trial in solitary confinement while torturing them?

The 33-year sentence requested would be the longest yet handed out in relation to that event. This comes on the heels of Tarrio and three other defendants being convicted by a jury in Washington D.C., for conspiring to block an orderly transfer of presidential power after Donald Trump lost the 2020 election.
This request from prosecutors sends a strong message about the actions of the J6 protestors that day from the federal government. The DOJ claims those protestors sought to keep their leader in office at any cost, even if it meant using force against elected officials and undermining democracy itself.
There's supposed to be 75 million of us and we can't get our fellow Americans out of solitaire.
We along with the supreme court can't release January 6 political prisoners.
We are totally useless.
Useless and Weak.
Democrats would have had them out the very next day with medals. https://t.co/sby0z2HjfE— Alan (@alanofkaneohe) August 17, 2023
It’s no surprise then that this proposed sentence is so severe; the current justice department is using many of the January 6 protestors as political prisoners. Their message is clear, go against us and face the consequences. While justice must be served, and Tarrio’s actions are not to be sympathized with as he did bring a gun into DC, the extreme sentence sends a message.

For his part, Tarrio wasn’t present on Jan 6 due to being arrested two days prior on an unrelated matter.
However, Prosecutors argued that this showed premeditation and planning on behalf of him and his co-defendant Joseph Biggs – also facing 33 years behind bars – which suggests that they had every intention of disrupting democracy through violence if necessary.

Ultimately, this sentence will send a clear message to those who seek to use their right to protest. If you don’t agree with the leftist government then there will be consequences for your actions and their perverted justice will prevail no matter what forces stand before it.
