ICYMI – As it turns out, that horrifying kidnapping of four Americans in March was not the first one that had happened.
In January, Edgar “Polvos” Perez Chairez, a 35-year-old auto mechanic, was kidnapped.
He was taken on January 4 in Mexicali, Mexico.
Keeping It Quiet
Why this was kept quiet for so long remains a mystery.
What we do know now is that Chairez has ties to Brawley and Calexico, California, and Mexicali, Mexico.
He is 5’ 5” tall and weighs about 187 pounds.
The last time he was seen he was driving a red Honda CRV in Pueblo Nuevo neighborhood of Mexicali, Baja California.
The FBI has offered a $10,000 reward for information on the case.
Anyone with information on the kidnapping is being asked to call 1-800-CALL-FBI or contact the nearest American embassy or consulate.
