Another Democrat has declared that he is considering fleeing the United States in response to President-elect Donald Trump’s landslide election victory.
Reid Hoffman — Democrat megadonor, LinkedIn co-founder, and reported friend of Jeffrey Epstein — has reportedly been considering leaving the country because he is concerned about supposed “retribution” from Trump. The report from the New York Times cites three people familiar with Hoffman’s discussions, noting that he has allegedly been talking about fleeing the country in private conversations with friends and allies.

According to The Post Millennial, “Hoffman is reportedly concerned about retribution from Trump as the billionaire has spent hundreds of millions of dollars on politics over the past few years.”
This massive spending spree included helping fund the lawsuit from mentally unhinged Trump accuser E. Jean Carroll — who made ridiculous claims that Trump sexually assaulted her decades ago in a dressing room. These claims had zero evidence to back them up and were clearly false, though a Trump-deranged New York jury and judge found Trump liable.

Meanwhile, the New York Times noted that Hoffman would be fleeing the country because he is especially “worried about retribution from a president who has promised to go after his political opponents, including major Democratic donors.” Of course, Trump never vowed to go after “political opponents” — just people who broke the law, especially those who used lawfare against Trump and other Republicans.
According to the New York Times’ report, Hoffman is not the only Democrat looking to flee the country over Trump’s win, as the outlet claimed that several other major Democrat donors and their advisers are considering leaving the U.S. to live abroad. Some have already left the country, including disgraced former TV host Ellen DeGeneres and her partner, Portia de Rossi, who now live in the United Kingdom — though their brand new 43-acre property flooded almost immediately after they fled the country.
Hoffman made headlines earlier this year after he alluded to violence in response to Trump’s first assassination attempt — telling attendees at the Allen & Company Conference in Idaho that he wished he had made Trump “an actual martyr.” His comments were in response to tech billionaire Peter Thiel claiming that Hoffman funding lawsuits against Trump made him a “martyr.”
Just the other day, Reid Hoffman told the Sun Valley crowd, "I wish I had made [Trump] an actual martyr."@reidhoffman – you obviously bear no responsibility for this attempted assassination. But you should apologize for glibly normalizing political murder. It's disgraceful. pic.twitter.com/chrHtGIcmk

Hoffman later desperately attempted to walk back those comments, claiming: “Peter Thiel said that my lawsuit work against Trump was ‘turning a clown into a martyr.’ In that context, I replied that I wished that Trump would martyr himself — meaning let himself be held accountable,” according to the New York Post.
“Of course I meant nothing about any sort of physical harm or violence, which I categorically deplore,” Hoffman added.
