California Lunatic Pours GAS On Man And Lights Him On Fire

A woman poured gas over a man and set him on fire after an argument in a California park, and the terrible moment was captured on video. Patricia Castillo, 48, of Sanger, California, has been charged with attempted murder after setting a man on fire.

She was arrested together with her 43-year-old accomplice, Leonard Hawkins, who is implicated in supplying her with fuel.

Sanger Police Department officers discovered the man with extreme burns to the upper half of his body in a park near Fresno around 9:15 p.m on Thursday, July 7. He notified the officers that a lady had actually lit him on fire.

Here’s what the Sanger Police Department posted on Facebook:

“Due to the severity of the victim’s burns, EMS immediately transported him to an area hospital.”

According to the Police, surveillance video caught the incident and helped them to recognize the suspects. It is uncertain if the assaulter and the victim, or her accomplice, knew each other previous to the event.

“On 7/7/22, at approximately 9:15 PM, Sanger officers responded to the 700 block of Faller Ave regarding an injured person. They contacted a man who had suffered severe burns to his upper body when they arrived. The man reported to the officers that a woman had set him on fire while he was at Sanger Park (400 block of Academy Ave). Due to the severity of the victim’s burns, EMS immediately transported him to an area hospital.

The Sanger Police Department’s Community Video Surveillance System captured the crime occurring at approximately 8:30 PM on 7/7/22. Investigators used video surveillance and witness statements to identify Patricia Castillo and Leonard Hawkins as the suspects.

The video shows Castillo approaching the victim and throwing a liquid from a cup onto him, and she and the victim appear to argue before Castillo sparks a lighter and lights the victim on fire. Further investigation revealed that Leonard Hawkins had provided the accelerant used to light the victim on fire to Castillo.”

The victim was taken to a local hospital and is anticipated to make a recovery.

Castillo and Hawkins were jailed and booked in the Fresno County Jail for attempted murder, arson and conspiracy.

Sanger is located some 13 miles east-southeast of Fresno, CA.
