Sometimes our justice system really makes me want to scream, and this is one of those times.
By all accounts, Alexi Saborit-Viltres was living a normal life, albeit an illegal one here in the States, with his girlfriend, Mafalda Thayer.
That would be until she wanted to break up with him, which is when he chopped off her head.
But He’s Insane
Saborit-Viltres had his trial, and he was convicted of a horrific crime.
Witnesses to the murder stated that Saborit-Viltres and Thayer were in a car riding down the street.
The car suddenly stopped, and Saborit-Viltres drug Thayer out of the car by her hair, then proceeded to chop her head off in the middle of the street and dump the body.
Now, after the fact, his attorneys decided to go for the insanity narrative, and the judge bought it.
Saborit-Viltres stood to do life in prison, but now he is getting off on an insanity plea.
His attorneys filed the motion after the verdict, citing delusional issues and a car accident from 2017 that reportedly brought on hallucinations.
Insane or not, you chop off someone’s head, you deserve a jolt of electricity or that chemical cocktail pushed through your veins.
And, once again, we have someone that should not even be in this country committing a horrific crime.
When will people learn?
