In today’s world, there are very few moments where one can say, ‘justice has been done and an evil man is dead’. This story is unquestionably one of them. In the palmetto state of Mississippi, the first execution in nine years took place on the evening of November 17th at 6:12 PM CST. By the custom of the Mississippi correctional system in accordance with the law, after multiple confessions, followed by a lawful conviction, the termination of all appeals, and indeed the insistence of the condemned man: murderer and rapist David Neal Cox was killed when midazolam, vecuronium bromide, and potassium chloride, were injected into his bloodstream at the Mississippi State Penitentiary in Parchman.
Breaking911 Reports that in spite of calls for clemency from various activist groups against capitol punishment, Governor. Tate Reeves declined to step in and stop the execution.
“The governor has reviewed the facts of this case and there is no question that David Cox committed these horrific crimes. Mr. Cox has admitted his guilt on multiple occasions and has been found competent by both the Circuit Court and Mississippi Supreme Court. Further, Mr. Cox himself filed a motion requesting that all appeals be dismissed and his execution date be set. In light of this, the Governor has no intention at this time of granting clemency or delaying this execution,” his office said in a statement.
The Face Of A Man Who Committed ATROCITIES
In the May of 2010 according to the facts of the case, Mr. Cox shot his estranged wife Mrs. Kim Kirk Cox in the abdomen and then in what can only be described as one of the foulest, disgusting, depraved, and outright evil atrocities that a creature such as this can commit: Cox proceeded to sexually assault his wife’s 12-year-old daughter.
“Cox shot Kim at about 7 p.m. and let her slowly bleed to death over the course of the night as she repeatedly begged for help,” a court document said. Mr. Cox reportedly assaulted the girl three times as her mother watched and bled out.
According to The New York Post,
“David Neal Cox, 50, was put to death at the Mississippi State Penitentiary at Parchman after filing court papers calling himself “worthy of death” and ditching all appeals.”
Mr. Cox’s second victim, his 12-year-old stepdaughter, Lindsey Kirk now 23 was present and witnessed the execution with pictures of her mother in hand. She told WTVA that “Cox is evil”.
