This military veteran is being hailed as a hero after holding an armed police chasse suspect at gunpoint in an attempt to aid law enforcement. Security cameras captured the entire heart-pounding incident.

William Joyner is an American hero in every sense of the word. He’s a United States Army veteran and a manager at Feeding GA Families, a food bank in College Park, Georgia.

One Monday evening his quick-thinking and military training were put to the test when he encountered an armed police chase suspect. His heroic actions prove that evil can be stopped when good people are willing to stand up to it.

When one of his volunteers rushed into the break room with news that someone had just crossed through their parking lot with a gun, Joyner didn’t hesitate – he grabbed his own gun and chambered a round before heading outside.

He quickly caught up to the suspect and held him at gunpoint until cops could arrive on the scene, but not without incident.

As video footage shows, Joyner threatened the alleged perp by telling him “Don’t make me kill you – because I will” if he didn’t comply.

Fortunately for everyone involved, police officers arrived just in time before anything else could escalate further.

The suspect was identified as 20-year-old Jordan Shelley while another individual involved was 21-year-old James Green who also faced obstruction charges along with Shelley for fleeing from police in a stolen car earlier that day, crashing it near Herschel Road and taking out an entire bus stop in the process.

Police reported finding a weapon on Shelley after apprehending both suspects thanks to William Joyner’s brave actions.

William Joyner credits his military training for enabling him to respond so quickly under such dangerous circumstances which proves yet again why we should all take lessons from this incredible man who selflessly serves both his country and community.

If asked whether or not he would do it again – Joyner says “in a heartbeat” – proving once more why people like him are so important in our world today.
