There is a little something brewing in Napa Valley.
This is the home of some of the best wine in the world.
It also happens to be where Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) and California Governor Gavin Newsom own vineyards.
As it turns out, there is a nasty little secret about this amazing wine region, and both Pelosi and Newsom knew about it.
They Knew…
In 2020, there was a massive wildfire in the area.
Those tasked with the collection as well as landfill workers were reportedly exposed to toxic chemicals during the cleanup process.
There has now been a complaint sent to California’s Division of Occupational Safety and Health for $300 million.
Pelosi has a vineyard in St. Helena.
The local mayor has been warning Pelosi for years about the possible pollution of the valley below, but she has ignored them all.
The mayor, Geoff Ellsworth, stated, “There’s a machine politic thing going on here — this is the backyard of San Francisco, and people have their second homes and their wine businesses.
“But it doesn’t absolve them from taking responsibility for the laws in the area and the treatment of the people working here.”
The PlumpJack Group, a winery co-founded by Gov. Newsom and San Francisco billionaire Gordon Getty, includes the Napa wineries PlumpJack Estate, Odette Estate, and Cade Estate.
Ellsworth also expressed concern to these businesses, but was again shunned.
He stated, “They blew me off.
“Nobody would talk about it.”
Workers are complaining that during the cleanup, they were forced to work extended hours and regardless of their own health, with some saying they had tested positive for COVID but were told to show up for work.
This, of course, does not even take into account the workers that were forced to do cleanup while the wildfires were still going on.
One of those workers, Gary Hernandez, stated, “I’m working with COVID, over there servicing Nancy Pelosi’s house, and she’s out there getting her hair done.”
Yup, that sounds like Pelosi all right!
