In August 2001, a Palestinian suicide bomber set off an attack at a Sbarro in Jerusalem.

The attack injured more than 100 people, with Chana Nachenberg being among them.

She has been in a coma since the attack.

Twenty-two years later, she has passed away.

She’s Gone

The attack garnered national headlines for its cowardly nature.

Somehow, Nacheberg’s 3-year-old daughter managed to escape any injury.

Nachenberg’s father, Yitzhak, “It has been 21 years and nine months since the attack, for which my daughter has been unconscious, in a coma, at Reuth [Rehabilitation] Hospital in Tel Aviv.

“About three weeks ago, she was hospitalized at Ichilov Hospital, where she died this evening.”

Her death marks the third American that has died from this attack.

The United States has long sought the extradition of Ahlam al-Tamimi, a woman born in the West Bank and holding Jordanian citizenship.

She was given 16 life sentences but released in 2011 in a deal for an Israeli soldier.

She now lives in Jordan, which has refused to extradite her to the United States.
