Following the strict enforcement of an impossible “zero-Covid” policy, China’s authoritarian Communist Regime has begun to force its citizens to do the most unthinkable things.
A rough estimate puts about 26 million people in the financial capital of China, Shanghai, who’ve been securely locked down for over two weeks. As a result, citizens have become incredibly desperate for basic necessities like food and has driven some to kill themselves.
While Shanghai, China moves into their second week of the strict COVID lockdown, videos have begun to surface on social media and grow to become viral as they depict frustrated residents screaming from the windows of their apartment buildings and others have already contemplated suicide.

When Shanghai originally began the COVID lockdown on March 28 it was announced that it would only be eight days total, however has since been pushed to become a forced indefinite citywide quarantine.

The video below displays what can only be compared to a dystopian horror movie, as the government responds to citizens screaming from their windows by sending a drone playing a message instructing residents to keep quiet and continue to comply with restrictions.

Most notably, a woman can be heard screaming, “We are starving to death.”
Meanwhile another man shouts, “We haven’t eaten for a very long time.”
The most shocking display was that of another apartment, where a resident showcased their refrigerator on the balcony, bare of food.
