A new poll shows the Ukrainian people have a fighting spirit. Ukrainians overwhelmingly believe they will beat back Russia’s invading forces.

The poll, was performed by the International Republican Institute’s Center for Insights in Survey Research, found that 98 percent of Ukrainians believe they will eventually prevail over Russia.

Ninety-one percent, meanwhile, say they hold Head of state Volodymyr Zelensky in high regard, respecting his leadership under such difficult times.

The International Republican Institute released their findings the day after photos were released that showed blast craters and wrecked warplanes, which were most likely after explosions at a Russian base in Crimea that Zelensky claimed were part of a Ukrainian counterattack.

The Associated Press reported  that Russian forces are struggling to replenish troops, suffering massive losses. Russia has supposedly gone so far as to offering amnesty to prisoners who agree to join the war effort.

Seventy-two percent of Ukrainians support joining NATO, which is a jump of 13 points from May.

Eighty percent of Ukrainians polled also want to join the European Union, which is a stark contrast to the 1 percent of the population who want to join with Russia in an economic union.

The poll continued showing that sixty-four percent say that Ukraine will “maintain all territories from within its internationally recognized borders defined in 1991,” which would include the Russia-controlled territories of Crimea and Donbas.
