Governor Ron DeSantis just got an endorsement that is probably more harmful than helpful.
Now, we all know the Bush family hates Donald Trump.
The family has been fighting him since he first walked down that escalator.
Now they are throwing their weight behind Trump’s number one competitor, Ron DeSantis.
Uh Oh
I think we can all agree that most Trump supporters, even those that have left his camp, do not like the Bush family.
At the top of that list is Jeb Bush, who had lost his battle against Trump in 2016.
Bush is now putting the family name behind DeSantis.
Bush stated, “There are people in public life that are kind of check-the-box politicians, and then there are others they want to serve, and Governor DeSantis is one of those.”
He later added, “The fact that he could announce that, for example, the bridge to Sanibel Island, which could be built in record time and open within 10 days I think, is pretty remarkable.
“He’s been a really effective governor.
“He’s young. I think we’re on the verge of a generational change in our politics– I kind of hope so.
“I think it’s time for a more forward-leaning future-oriented conversation or politics as well.”

I would expect Trump to jump all over this to continue his line of attack that DeSantis is a RINO.
Does this scare me away from DeSantis? No, because you cannot control who endorses you.
For those that are now worried, I would point to the fact that Trump has coddled up to Senator Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.).
