ICYMI – Things are not going well for Fox News right now in its defamation suit by Dominion Voting Systems.
The judge in the case smacked Fox News with sanctions.
This all came about after Dominion’s star witness produced audio that the judge believes Fox was withholding during discovery.
Bombshell Recording
Abby Grossberg is a former producer for Fox News.
She worked on, among other shows, Tucker Carlson and Maria Bartiromo.
Grossberg claimed that Fox wanted her to lie in this case to protect the company.
She claimed to have many recordings, but the one that was most recently dropped was a conversation she had with Trump attorney Rudy Giuliani.
After the recording was presented by Dominion, the judge sanctioned Fox News, a move that did not bode well since the lawsuit was set to go to trial.
Grossberg stated, “They destroy people.
“I realized that the answers that they wanted me to say were putting me in a very vulnerable position to be the company scapegoat.”
“I made the decision to keep my job so that I can keep paying my bills. It seemed like the safer decision for me at the time.”
If Fox News loses this case, it will cost them $1.6 billion.
Can Fox News survive such a hit? My guess is yes since its net income is more than $2 billion per year right now.
Having said that, some heads would surely roll.
Since Sean Hannity and Laura Ingraham are at the center of this case, it will be very interesting to see what ownership does if this lawsuit goes the wrong way.
