This has been a pretty bad couple of days for the White House in terms of keeping news hidden from the American people.
With a new Hunter Biden text scandal breaking, the White House decided to hold back information to deflect away from the story.
Now it also appears that the White House held back information regarding the Wagner group coup against Putin.
Holding Back
According to reports, U.S. intelligence agencies had information in mid-June regarding the coup.
Now, this may not be something that I would expect to see blasted all over domestic headlines.
However, I would think this would be something that Ukraine could have used to help make a push to unseat Putin.
Yevgeniy Prigozhin, the chief of the Wagner mercenary group, had been a major ally of Putin’s to that point, but the relationship broke down rapidly over policy issues and an attack that the Wagner group felt put it at risk.
This is now the second time this administration has been shady about intelligence reports.
The other being that officials had data that the Titan sub had imploded on Sunday.
However, they continued to let people think there was hope, not making the announcement until Thursday.
Why the delay?
As it turns out, the Hunter Biden WhatsApp message scandal was developing, and it now appears they just wanted something to deflect away from that story.
Protect Joe at all costs, even if it means covering up a traitorous scandal.
