A big name in the New York City political scene has been arrested.
Former Republican mayoral candidate and Guardian Angels founder Curtis Sliwa was taken into custody on Wednesday.
Sliwa was reportedly protesting a tent put up in Queens to house more migrants.
Not Gonna Take It
The protest was being held at the Creedmoor Hospital Grounds, which is where the tent had been erected.
Protesters, including Sliwa, were chanting, “Have pity. No tent city!”
Sliwa explained, “We’re going to keep driving this point home until you decide to be the mayor and represent American people who are citizens of New York City who pay their taxes and afford to put you in a $5000 customized suit each and every day.”
And then they were arrested…

A total of about 93,000 migrants have arrived in New York City since the crisis started.
This is about as many migrants as Texas sees in a week or two, yet Adams says his city is in crisis over this influx of bodies arriving in his city.
Mayor Adams stated, “Our next phase of this strategy, now that we have run out of room, we have to figure out how we’re going to localize the inevitable that there’s no more room indoors.
“Here’s where we are right now. Yes, there were people sleeping in cooling vans.
“There were people along the sidewalk. We have to localize this madness.
“We have to figure out a way of how we don’t have what’s in other municipalities where you have tent cities all over the city.”
If NYC is having these problems, what do you think border cities in Texas and Arizona are seeing right now, particularly Texas?
For two years, nobody seemed to care how Texas was being overrun, but now that NYC is having housing issues, the country is starting to wake up to the problem.
And to think, this all started with what people called a publicity stunt by Texas Governor Greg Abbott.
