A debate has been sparked due to the recent Supreme Court ruling on affirmative action in college admissions. Democrats and Republicans are now dueling for supremacy over the ideology of diversity in the American education system.

Rep. Glenn Grothman (R-Wis.), a House Oversight Committee member, believes that despite the ruling, liberals will continue to increase diversity hires in federal agencies.

Grothman predicted that President Biden’s proposed budget would include “equity panels” in every government agency. According to a White House press release, these equity teams are meant to strengthen requirements for agencies to build and resource Agency Equity Teams and designate senior leaders accountable for implementing the President’s equity mandate.

“The Executive Order strengthens requirements for agencies to build and resource Agency Equity Teams and designate senior leaders accountable for implementing the President’s equity mandate,” the release reads.

He also believes that Democrats will use this issue as an opportunity to gain more votes from the public. Grothman stated, “These are things that should be brought up because the Democrat party is going to bring them up.”

“They are going to try to use these ridiculous race-obsessed forms to get more votes in the public eye. And we have to explain exactly what Joe Biden is about,” Grotham continued.

He urged people not to let this decision be “the last word,” emphasizing that further discussion is needed about Joe Biden’s policies on race and equity issues.

It remains unclear how affirmative action will be handled moving forward with the new Supreme Court ruling, however, it is clear that both parties have vastly different opinions on how this should be addressed going forward. The conversation surrounding race and equity issues is not only important but necessary for change to occur within our society today.
