It’s official: one of the 18 Trump co-defendants in the Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis case has decided to take a plea deal and testify for the prosecution. NBC News revealed that 59-year-old Scott Hall has pleaded guilty to five misdemeanor charges and is facing a sentence of five years probation so long as he follow through with the plea deal.

Hall was charged with several misdemeanors as well as felonies related to conspiracy to commit election fraud, conspiracy to commit computer theft, conspiracy to commit computer trespass, conspiracy to commit computer invasion of privacy and conspiracy to defraud the state.

This is a significant development that could have far-reaching implications for both parties involved.

In addition, Hall must also write an apology letter to the state, pay a $5,000 fine, complete 200 hours of community service and provide recorded testimony to the district attorney’s office as part of his sentence.

Hall was charged due to his involvement in what is being referred to as a voting system “breach” in Coffee County Georgia. A number of Trump officials and attorneys had visited the county to survey voting machines which prompted this investigation into possible election fraud allegations.

While attorneys representing Sidney Powell have denied these claims and argued that they were invited into Coffee Country for legitimate reasons; they are still facing charges related to their visit.

The decision by Hall has certainly been seen as a major victory for Fani Willis who now has another witness available who can testify against former President Trump in court proceedings should it come down to that point.

However, there is still much uncertainty surrounding this situation as other defendants may or may not follow suit and agree to similar deals going forward which could significantly impact how this entire saga ultimately plays out in court over time.
