Last week, Israel announced that it was going to launch a massive ground attack against Hamas.
That attack has not yet taken place, and now we know why.
It would appear that Biden is blocking the attack until he has more time to work a deal for the hostages that were taken by Hamas.
Wait…
I understand the need for the recovery of the hostages, but we have significant leverage we can use.
For instance, why is any aid at all going into Gaza without the complete release of all hostages?
Why are we not sending special forces units in to recover the hostages so they cannot be used as pawns by Hamas?
What is even more frustrating, is that the White House is being evasive on this.
For instance, John Kirby stated, “We have been talking about our Israeli counterparts about their plans, their intentions, their strategy.
“We have been asking them for how they’re answering the tough questions that any military is going to have to do before you go on and conduct major operation.
“The Israeli defense forces, they make these decisions themselves.”
Israel is already being handicapped by not being able to use a significant missile attack because Hamas hides in civilian areas.
The longer this attack is put off, the more prepared Hamas will be for it.
Locate the hostages, and you better believe our intelligence agencies have a good idea where they are, launch a rescue operation, then let Israel launch its attack.
