So far, Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) is second choice for the Senate seat currently held by Senator Dianne Feinstein (D-CA).

What is really surprising is that Rep. Katie Porter (D-CA) is leading the pack, at least she is in the latest RealClearPolitics polling.

What has me baffled is that Rep. Barbare Lee (D-CA) is trailing both of them considering many of the high-profile endorsements she has received.

Now there is a new name in the race that could stir things up on the Republican side…  James Bradley.

Open Primary

Bradley recently announced that he was going to run for this seat, hoping to drive donations on the premise that he would be running against Schiff to get the seat…

The problem for Bradley, however, is that California is an open primary, and he is currently polling at six percent, while Porter is at 19 percent, and Schiff is at 16 percent.

Like Trump, Schiff has benefited from the recent censure that was slapped on him by the GOP House.

Schiff has dominated fundraising, but he simply is unable to catch Porter, who is borderline psychotic.

The really bad news for everyone is the fact that former baseball star Steve Garvey, who is a Republican, is thinking about entering this race.

If he does, it is a game-changer for the entire field.

Republicans are always up against it in California, but Garvey’s popularity from his playing days as a Dodger could be a big momentum swing.

At the very least, it could knock Schiff out of the running and ensure that we retire him from politics once and for all.
