Bill Maher Shocks His Leftist Guests, Trump Isn’t Impressed

HBO’s Bill Maher stunned guest panelists when he unexpectedly spoke up for Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, arguing that the Republican would prove a “way better” president than former President Donald Trump.

On “Real Time with Bill Maher,” visitor panelists Krystal Ball and also James Kirchick participated in Maher to talk about your house January 6 committee hearings. The three disputed regardless if then-President Trump “focused criminal activities” and also blew up any kind of Republican they assumed might be observing in the previous president’s steps.

Ball suggested that conducting Trump would certainly not “fix our problem,” since DeSantis will be no “better.” DeSantis has squeezed by President Trump in recent polls for the popular Republican presidential nominee in 2024.

“I actually have no issue with Trump being prosecuted, and I have a lot of issue [sic] with elites being left unaccountable for the crimes that they commit, number one. Number two, that’s not going to solve our problem,” said Ball.

“Do you think that Ron DeSantis is going to be way better than Donald Trump?” she asked.

“Yes, yes I do,” Maher cut in, leaving Round noticeably stunned.

Round pushed back, insisting that DeSantis  “clearly modeled himself in the footsteps of Donald Trump.”

“He’s not certifiably insane. That’s a great one to start off with,” Maher replied.

“You understand what Ron DeSantis will not be performing? He will not be actually poop-tweeting each day. He will not be, like, having feuds along with Bette Midler on Twitter. He is actually certainly not an outrageous person,” he incorporated.

Maher has actually been making much more sense than normal of late, one thing that doesn’t seem to be to be very well received with the Left. Some have even been left wondering if the liberal entertainer has been “red-pilled,” and, if so, will he get canceled, or is Bill Maher beyond their punitive reach?

Maher’s remarks were not lost on President Trump though, according to The Independent, “In a speech in MemphisTennessee on Saturday, Donald Trump hit out at Fox News for booking the liberal comedian Bill Maher as a guest, calling the network “stupid”.”

They go on to suggest that “Maher may have upset Mr. Trump and been on his mind by saying on air that Florida governor Ron DeSantis would make a better Republican”
