You’ll SEE Why This Wildlife Footage Has Gone VIRAL

Indian Forest Service officer Parveen Kaswan just witnessed something that serves as evidence to prove elephants mourn their dead, just like people do.

New video footage circulating online shows an elephant carrying a dead baby at the front of a herd, similar to a funeral procession.

In the video, the elephant can be seen carrying the calf with its trunk before placing it in the middle of the road.

Soon after, other elephants appeared, joining the adult elephant in grieving.

Kaswan captioned the video, “This will move you !! Funeral procession of the weeping elephants carrying the dead body of the child elephant. The family just don’t want to leave the baby.”

Once the remainder of the herd caught up, the body of the calf was scooped back up and the elephants walked off the road and back into the woods.

The video went viral soon after being posted, and here’s what some viewers commented.

“This is heart-rending. There’s a lot that humans can learn from animals” while the other tweeted, “Omg!!! First time I hava seen such video.. Really very touching.”

“Heart Touching Beautiful Words Given to the above Video. Funeral Procession.”

“Very Disturbing . The Pain is seen in Every Elephant in the procession.”

“What a family ! Paying their last rite with full respect.”
