Breaking news has just come in that the Israeli military has conducted a large-scale raid on the occupied West Bank, which resulted in the arrest of 41 Palestinians, 14 of whom were militants.
This raid follows a deadly attack that killed an Israeli woman and seriously injured an Israeli man back in August. The Al Aqsa Martyrs’ Brigade, offshoot of the secular nationalist Fatah party, had claimed responsibility for this attack.

In addition to raiding three refugee camps and confiscating weapons, the Israel Defense Force (IDF) also “sealed” a shop in Hebron used by Hamas to print “incendiary material”. According to reports from IDF, 1,540 Palestinians have been arrested in the West Bank since the start of this conflict with 930 being identified as affiliated with Hamas.
However, Palestinian Prisoner’s Club estimates suggest 90 people being detained on Thursday night, November 9, and 2,400 arrested overall since war broke out.
As part of its response to this attack back in August, two militants believed responsible saw their homes destroyed. This is part of a wider campaign against Hamas which sees militants targeted directly and their families suffering too as collateral damage.
IDF operations are focused not only on punishing those responsible for attacks but also preventing future atrocities by clamping down on activities associated with terrorists organizations like Hamas.
This is a developing story.
