The conflict in the Middle East continues to intensify as the world remains on World War III watch. A new warning from the Israeli Minister of Economy, Nir Barkat reveals that if Iran-backed Hezbollah joins in on the conflict between Israel and Hamas that there would be swift retribution.
In an interview with The Daily Mail, Barkat declared that Israel would not merely retaliate against Hezbollah; they will target Iran directly. He stated unequivocally that if their enemies attack, Israel will respond by wiping them off the face of the earth.
He then went on to say that they will not just retaliate against those fronts but also go “to the head of the snake, which is Iran” if they find out their intentions are to target Israel.
JUST IN: Israel is threatening to cut off “the head of the snake” and launch an attack against Iran if Hezbollah joins the war.
Israel's Minister of Economy Nir Barkat said Iran's Ayatollahs will be “wiped off the face of the earth” if Hezbollah attacks Israel.

Hashem Safieddine, a high ranking official within Hezbollah issued a warning to both Israel and the US for their part in the ongoing conflict between Hamas and Israel. He asserted that it is their right to target any enemy occupying their land and claimed that what transpired in Gaza was merely a message from them regarding how far this battle could escalate should it continue.
Safieddine then added that what happened there will one day be repeated stronger from Lebanon as well as other areas adjacent to Palestine.
Nir Barkat was not subtle when he made his stance clear on how Israel will handle any aggression against them – they plan to fight back hard if provoked. This is no doubt intended as a show of strength by Barkat – indicating just how serious they are about defending themselves should push come to shove with either Hamas or Hezbollah.
Some may see this as an overstep but for those who support militant retaliation where necessary, such words provide much needed reassurance during these trying times.
It’s clear that this potential involvement by Iran means serious ramifications for us all both near and far away from this conflict regionally or globally speaking.
