China ‘Grooming’ Walz To Gain Foothold In US, Says Comer

During a Tuesday interview, House Oversight Committee Chairman Rep. James Comer (R-KY) detailed his concerns about the connection between Democrat vice-presidential nominee, Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz (D), and the communist Chinese government — pointing out that there could be “grooming” involved.

Walz has a long history of downplaying the problems with communist China. He has traveled there at least 30 times, including on his honeymoon — when he, as a teacher at the time, brought his entire high school class. He also taught Chinese government-approved classes in China. Walz even got married on the fifth anniversary of the Tiananmen Square massacre because he wanted a date he would “always remember.”

All of these facts are especially concerning considering that he could potentially be in the White House next year, leading lawmakers to launch an investigation into Walz’s ties to the Chinese Communist Party.

Comer spoke about these concerns during an appearance on Fox News Channel’s “Jesse Watters Primetime,” arguing that Walz may see the Chinese Communist Party’s system of government as an ideal model and warning that the CCP may be “grooming” him with long-term goals.

Host Jesse Watters began the discussion by pointing out that China — which is known for its authoritarian surveillance — may have compromising footage of Walz from one of his many trips, comparing it to the Democrats’ lies about Russia having compromising footage of former President Donald Trump.

“If an American goes to China 30 times in the ’90s, they have surveillance footage of him,” Watters said. “They have surveillance footage, probably of his honeymoon night. What kind of compromise is that? They were worried about Trump in a pee tape situation, but that was all made up. This is serious business.”

“It’s very serious. China thinks long-term,” Comer responded. “It’s very possible that China would be grooming an up-and-coming, rising star in the political process to try to have a foothold in our government. I mean, they’ve done this in the military. We’ve caught them with spy rings in our universities.”

“This is how China operates,” he added. “They think long-term. And again, I can’t say this enough. When you look at Hunter Biden’s ties with Communist China, it was for money. It looks like Walz’ ties may be for ideology, and this is something that we should be concerned about, and we’re trying to gather as much information as we can, as quick as we can, to present to the American people.”
