CNN Just Lost Another One, Boss Tosses in the Towel

The latest domino to fall in the ever-expanding scandal that has drowned CNN is the largest. The fatally stricken network’s President Jeff Zucker announced his resignation on February 2nd after confessing that he had failed to disclose a romantic relationship with a high-ranking colleague. But it was so much worse than just another sexual scandal… it turns out that Zuckers’ paramour had also served as the Director of Communications for the disgraced ex-governor of New York Andrew Cuomo, adding yet another dark level of entanglement between the network and the deviant, abusive man responsible for the deaths of thousands of senior citizens trapped in nursing homes that he forced to take in COVID patients at the height of the panic.

“As part of the investigation into Chris Cuomo’s tenure at CNN, I was asked about a consensual relationship with my closest colleague, someone I have worked with for more than 20 years,” Zucker said.

“I acknowledged the relationship evolved in recent years. I was required to disclose it when it began but I didn’t. I was wrong,” said Zucker.

“As a result, I am resigning today.”

Zucker sent a memo to his staff that he should’ve admitted his involvement with CNN’s Allison Gollust, who is reportedly still employed by the network. According to The New York Post, this has created serious discord in the chaotic mainstream media outlet. “Female employees at CNN are furious that chief spokesperson Allison Gollust is keeping her job after ‘lying’ about her affair with newly resigned CEO Jeff Zucker “for years,” sources told The Post.

“Why is she allowed to keep her job?” a CNN insider railed.

“CNN is supposed to be a transparent news network. How does she get away with lying about their affair for so long?”

“Jeff and I have been close friends and professional partners for over 20 years. Recently, our relationship changed during COVID. I regret that we didn’t disclose it at the right time,” Gollust said in a statement reported by Fox News

Reactions To Zucker’s Fall From CNN Vary Wildly

The news of Zucker’s disgraceful resignation drew immediate condemnation from many including President Trump who congratulated CNN for being rid of him in a statement, “Jeff Zucker, a world-class sleazebag who has headed ratings and real-news-challenged CNN for far too long, has been terminated for numerous reasons, but predominantly because CNN has lost its way with viewers and everybody else. Now is a chance to put Fake News in the backseat because there may not be anything more important than straightening out the horrendous LameStream Media in our Country, and in the case of CNN, throughout the World. Jeff Zucker is gone—congratulations to all! “

Meanwhile, CNN’s Brian Stelter seemed a bit shell-shocked, claiming that Chris Cuomo was “Trying to burn the place down” prefacing that “Cuomo was fired in December and he is not going out quietly.”

As of this writing, no further information about Gollost’s connection to Governor Cuomo has been revealed, but given that the relationship was discovered in connection with the investigation of CNN’s entanglements between Atlanta and Albany, there is likely more to this than the public is being told, with Chris Cuomo‘s familial connection to Andrew Cuomo, Zucker’s affair with Gollust, and even her very employment now completing the circumstances that made CNN hopelessly compromised to report honestly on anything having to do with the Cuomo family, and likely leading to collusion between them.
