Doctor Fired for Trying to Help Covid Patients

Dr. Edith Behr, a Pennsylvania surgeon is the latest medical professional to have her livelihood sacrificed upon the altar of medical-political wrongthink. Dr. Behr has been terminated from her position with Phoenixville Hospital, accused of the high-political crime of issuing prescriptions for ivermectin and hydroxychloroquine under her completely legal discretion as a physician to prescribe the medications off-label as therapeutics for the treatment of COVID19. Both treatments’ efficacy is for COVID patients has been long supported by multiple ongoing studies. She attempted to help her patients and now it seems no one is helping her.

Tower Health, the operator of Phoenixville Hospital told the press in an emailed statement,

“Tower Health became aware yesterday of the allegations involving Dr. Edith Behr prescribing Ivermectin and Hydroxychloroquine for the treatment of COVID-19. We investigated the matter and, as a result, Dr. Behr’s employment with Tower Health Medical Group has been terminated effective immediately,”

PennLive who followed up on the International Business Times who broke the story citing two Tiktok users as sources, claim that they couldn’t independently verify it but attempted to connect Dr. Behr to one Christine Mason who allegedly used a restaurant’s Facebook account to “connect people seeking ivermectin and hydroxychloroquine to a doctor willing to write the prescriptions.”

"

In journalism though, it’s important to note that as far as the news is concerned: whatever you can’t verify or source, didn’t happen. That being said The GOP Newsfeed will not regurgitate their reporting here except to say that Mason, who admitted publicly that she was working with a doctor whom she identified as a surgeon, referred to them as a “hero” and an “angel”.

It is extremely noteworthy to add that PennLive had to add a note to their original article, indicating that it was “updated to clarify that PennLive has been unable to verify the connection between Dr. Edith Behr and a Palmyra business’ Facebook account.” the implication being that the outlet initially printed a story that detailed a connection between Behr and the fantastical account of a secret ivermectin and hydroxychloroquine prescribing operation running out the back of a restaurant, that they couldn’t actually confirm.

Regrettably, the mainstream media has taken the story and run with it and a physician is being punished for allegedly exercising her legal, medical discretion to treat people who could find no help elsewhere. Simply horrifying.
