While the effectiveness of Ivermectin and Hydroxychloroquine has been under attack since Joe Rogan used them in his battle against Covid, Prayer is now the front runner for “misinformation.” Liz Wheeler called Youtube’s new policy change to attention on Twitter when she announced that “ Youtube is now prohibiting content that encourages prayer…” But is she right, is prayer now under attack?
Conservative Influencer, and Content Creator, Amanda Ensing would agree. She discusses the YouTube policy change in her video “Prayer Now Considered ‘Misinformation’ for Health- What’s Coming & How to Prepare.” The number one thing that Youtube is banning from their site is content that expresses prayer for the healing of those with Covid-19.
The Power of Prayer
Prayer is a foundational staple to the Christian faith. Those who ask for, or offer, prayer believe in its power. They have seen it work in their own lives and wish only to pass the gift of God’s peace and healing to another. The Bible gives numerous examples of the divine work of prayer; such as the lives of Abraham, David, Daniel, and Jesus Himself. James 5:16 states:
“Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working”
The Attack On Religious Liberty
Why would Youtube attack the religious liberty of its content creators by changing its policy in this way? The answer is simple: Compliance.
Big government has become a god to many, and it commands that all should take the Covid-19 vaccine. The vaccine has become the only acceptable solution to fight the virus. The proof of this is the national media’s fight against alternative medicine; such as Ivermectin and Hydroxychloroquine.
Religious exemption requests for the vaccine have been on the rise as well. If Big Tech wants compliance from the American people then they first must eliminate religious liberty, which allows for religious exemptions. Ensign warns that Youtube’s policy change will not be the last. To end the attacks on our freedoms we must stand now or it will only become worse. But even in that, there is peace for the faithful.
