Donald Trump dropped a little note to his supporters this week to offer up some context to the rape case against him.

Author E. Jean Carroll claims that Trump assaulted her in the dressing room of a Bergdorf-Goodman store in the 1990s.

As it turns out, there is a mystery man that is bankrolling the case.

Get That Money

Carroll was able to file a civil suit against Trump due to the Adult Survivors Act, which went into effect last year.

Trump has always maintained this is fake news, never happened.

He stated, “I’ll say it with great respect: Number one, she’s not my type. Number two, it never happened. It never happened, OK?”

The other tidbit that came out is that Reid Hoffman, a founder and former executive chairman of LinkedIn, is the moneyman backing Carroll’s case.

After Trump blasted out the information, Hoffman came forward to take ownership of it.

He stated, “While Trump’s legal team has characterized my support of Carroll’s lawsuit as ‘secret,’ I want to be clear that I’ve never taken any steps to hide the financial support that I have provided to this lawsuit after it started.

“Secondly, and more importantly, while media attention is focused on this specific story, let’s not forget the overall point: the rule of law and the ideal that our courts are a mechanism of justice for all citizens, not just those with enough money and power to rig the game in their favor.”

He added, “In and out of court, women have been one of the main groups that Trump has singled out.

“Trump’s hostility to women has been a dominant feature of his ideology for his entire adult life.

“Supporting women fighting for progress and justice in philanthropy, politics, and business has been a longstanding priority of mine, as is supporting America against the threat of Trump — a stance that I’ve not only made public, but also have prioritized over recent years. . . . I have been proud to help level the playing field in the courts for those whom Trump and his allies have attacked and bullied.”

That sounds like a threat to me, so don’t be surprised of Hoffman goes digging to find other women to make allegations to try to take Trump out of the picture.
