Many people have asked: “When did Fox News hit bottom?” For most of us the answer is when they called the State of Arizona for Joe Biden on November 4th, 2020 at 9:20PM Phoenix time, a mere twenty minutes after the polls closed. If that was the moment they hit bottom, then May 8th was the date they fell through the floor. When your White House Correspondent publicly ditches your for the competition, that’s gotta hurt.
On Friday May the 8th, Fox News Correspondent Kristin Fisher announced she would be leaving the network after making her final appearance on “Special Report” with Bret Baier.
Here’s the kicker: according to The Hill, Fisher is bound for CNN….Yikes.

On her sign-off broadcast Fisher told the Fox Audience,
“I started out 6 years ago on the early morning weekend shift. I made it all the way to the White House, which is something that has been at the very top of my career bucket list ever since I was a very little girl. But I’ve just realized that there are a few other things on that list that I would like to try to tick off,” she said Friday on Fox.
“So before I go I just want to thank Fox for trusting me with this beat and for giving me so many opportunities. And Bret, it has been an absolute pleasure to work with you, the entire White House team and everybody on the ‘Special Report’ team as well.”
Not The First and Not The Last, As The Talent Ditches Fox
The late, great talk radio legend Michael ‘Doc’ Thompson formerly of WRVA, WLW, TheBlaze, MoJo 5.0 and Spoony Radio spoke often of his ‘5 Rules‘
- Don’t be a jerk
- Keep the talent happy
- Always come clean
- it’s not offensive if it’s true
- Just because you can , doesn’t mean you should
Along these philosophical guidelines one can say that Fox News has unequivocally failed. To see the rot, one can look as far back as the exit of Glenn Beck in 2011. And more recently the shameful abandonment of Bill O’Rielly to the ravages of cancel-culture in 2017 up to the latest dismissal of Fox Business’ Lou Dobbs following his full-throated support of President Trump under the pressure of a Dominion lawsuit to see that Fox clearly isn’t keeping the talent happy. Their golden geese either leave in disgust or are sacrificed to the ‘woke’ chaos-gods. And the young up and comers like Fisher who joins Alisyn Camerota, Dave Briggs, Conor Powell and Rick Folbaum see this, and jump ship.
Since Fox is rapidly losing their integrity as a news outlet and their conservative editorial voice, what difference does jumping to the Clinton News Network or MSDNC make… it’s just another paycheck. That is unless you have the courage to join the new pioneers, the Avant Garde who are doing the heavy lifting, whilst mainstream media does the grifting.
