GOP Leader Whips Out Her High Heels – After Her Gavel Goes ‘Missing’

The Virginia legislature is still trying to cope with the Republican regime change last November. One disgruntled and childish alleged State Senator went so far as to gleep the gavel off the desk of Lieutenant Governor Winsome Sears. She wasn’t phased.

A gavel thief in the Senate

Even though 2021 was an off year for elections, Virginia held a very special one. They elected Republicans into all the top slots including Winsome Sears, who took the job of lieutenant governor.

The left is having a real hard time characterizing her as “racist.” They can’t argue facts so they resorted to childish pranks like swiping her gavel. Why do Democrats play such silly games?

This case of the missing gavel is a lot like when the outgoing Clinton administration pried all the “w” keys off the White House keyboards. As LA Times reported at the time, “The Clinton administration treated the White House worse than college freshmen checking out of their dorm rooms.

The GAO declared that “damage, theft, vandalism, and pranks did occur in the White House during the 2001 presidential transition.” The government bean counters went on to note that “some incidents, such as removing keyboard keys, placing glue on desk drawers and leaving obscene voicemail messages ‘clearly were intentional.‘”

Conservative media can’t stop laughing at the way she handled the situation. When it was clear that some “prankster” had appropriated the gavel she needed to call the Senate to order, she improvised.

Denied the use of her trusty mallet, she simply slipped off her shoe. The “resourceful, determined leader” wasted no time, and simply pounded her high heeled pump on the desk.

Just ask Cinderella

Washington Post couldn’t wait to tweet about it, tapping out that Sears “gaveled Virginia Senate to order with high-heeled patent leather pump after an unknown prankster hid her gavel.

Laura Vozella added, “she took the trick in stride: ‘One shoe can change your life. Just ask Cinderella.’” The lieutenant governor got such a chuckle out of that comment she simply had to reply. “Resourcefulness- never underestimate it!

It’s obvious that her stint in the Marine Corps made her quick on her mental feet. She made history when she became not only the first woman, but the first Black woman, “to ever be elected Virginia’s lieutenant governor.

She likes her gavel but it’s only a hammer. When she previously ran the homeless shelter she kept order with whatever weapons came to hand.

The press is making a big deal about the way it put all the liberal Democrats in their place but nobody noted her classic quip on the video when she notes that she’ll find out which Senator was responsible.

Democrats run away from accountability like they saw a ghost. Someone in the Virginia Senate is going to be more than a little spooked unless that gavel pops up like a mushroom in the dark when nobody is looking, real soon.
