Piers Morgan has no applause for Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s Netflix reality series. In fact, the British journalist torched the couple after much of the first episode has been found to have incredible fallacies. The most shocking was the comparison of Meghan to Princess Dianna and the use of “deceptive” footage.
It’s obvious that Meghan Markle and Prince Harry aren’t winning over the public with their Netflix docuseries: Harry and Meghan. Piers Morgan has been a critic of the couple and echoed much of the public opinions of the new series. Especially since it’s been found that the reality series engages in dishonest editing. Most troubling are reports claiming the trailers deceptively use footage from unrelated news events. This was all to create the impression that the Sussexes were hounded by the media.
“You may remember in the Oprah Winfrey whine-a-thon, about 17 different things that came out of their mouths were quickly proven to be untrue,” Morgan told Fox & Friends. “And we’re at it again with this Netflix documentary.”
Very clear now that Prince Harry & Meghan Markle are intent on destroying the Royal Family. You can agree with them or think, as I do, that they’re repulsive narcissistic hypocrites, but their agenda is now indisputable & constitutes an existential threat to the British Monarchy. pic.twitter.com/CoWdpQ8PDx

Morgan slammed the documentary for comparing Meghan to Princess Diana. The late princess was hounded by intense media scrutiny. “She Princess Diana had ten times the paparazzi attention that Meghan Markle has ever had,” he said. ” attempt to put herself on the same pedestal as the most famous and pursued royal in history, I think is frankly disgraceful.”
Backing up Morgan’s claims are reports that the series “deceptively uses footage.” According to the New York Post, an image apparently meant to show Prince Harry and Meghan Markle being surrounded by paparazzi is in reality a stock shot of photographers taken at the Harry Potter premiere years before the couple ever met.

The black-and-white pic of rows of photographers snapping away is featured in the Harry and Meghan teaser. Harry is heard saying, “I had to do everything I could to protect my family,” implying he was protecting them from the paparazzi.
“This Harry Potter footage actually goes to the heart of where I think the problem lies with these two,” Piers Morgan declared. “Emphasis on the word ‘lies.’ They just made this up. There is a big picture in the Netflix trailer which shows a mob of paparazzi going crazy in their intrusive way at Meghan and Harry, wrecking their lives. Only they weren’t there. No members of the royal family were there, and it was four years before Harry and Meghan ever set eyes on each other. So, another blatant untruth.”
This photograph used by @Netflix and Harry and Meghan to suggest intrusion by the press is a complete travesty. It was taken from a accredited pool at Archbishop Tutu’s residence in Cape Town. Morgan also pointed out the hypocrisy of how Harry and Meghan left the United Kingdom for California. However, they “ruthlessly exploit” their titles as the Duke and Duchess of Sussex for “hundreds of millions” of dollars. “The idea that they are somehow victims when all they’re doing is making so much money from abusing and attacking their families, both sides, their families, I think, is reprehensible,” he said.
