Joe Rogan made a declaration that if he has to “walk on eggshells” when discussing recent events then he would much rather quit podcasting altogether.
During his podcast episode of The Joe Rogan Experience, Rogan’s guest, MMA fighter Josh Barnett, discussed with the host of the show that he would be judged for ‘every little thing’ that he said during the podcast. Rogan also clarified that his show “requires sincerity” and without that piece, the show would not have the same success it has achieved to this day.
The show had began with Barnett revealing how he was extremely nervous about going on the show due to the thought that with all the attention Rogan has had “everybody” was going to “pore over” every little thing he said during his appearance on the recent podcast episode. The conversation topic starts at the 2:14 minute mark in the show’s episode.
Rogan validated the 44-year-old fighter’s fears, however explained that he will quit if push comes to shove.
“They will because there are more people poring over it but it’s the same thing, I do it [the show] the same way.”
“If I become something different because it grew bigger, I will quit. If it gets to a point that I can’t do it anymore, where I have to do it in some sort of weird way where I walk on eggshells and mind my p’s and q’s, f*** that.”

Barnett seemed to express understanding with what Rogan was saying and stated his pal needed to be allowed “100% sincerity” with his show in order for it to run smoothly.
Rogan replied:
“Especially this. This requires sincerity, without it, this show doesn’t have any success.”
Barnett answered:
“Ninety-nine percent of everyone’s complaint on you, any criticism, is essentially — they’re levying a insincere — they’re putting insincerity on you.”
The host added:
“But the thing is when you do something like that, because it’s a good thing, because it intrigues you and you like it, it resonates with people because they’re so starving for that. Because most of what you see, you see a lot of people that are cynical and they think that everything is insincere.”
“And you just find the thing that’s the most acceptable to you that’s also insincere,” he added. “And that’s how we pick politicians.”
Joe Rogan has, time and time again, proved that he will willingly jump into touchy issues, bringing up conversations on just about everything from how President Joe Biden “can’t talk right anymore” to calling out Will Smith for slapping Chris Rock at the Oscars for just doing his “f***ing job.”
