Here’s Another Disney Controversy!

Zara Pythian, an actress most notably seen in Dr. Strange, is facing a “considerable” jail sentence following being found guilty of sexually abusing and grooming an underage schoolgirl.

And not only is the actress facing these consequences, but also her husband, Victor Marke, was found guilty of multiple child sex charges. The accusations reveal that the couple had provided alcohol to multiple underage girls in an attempt to convince them to perform sex acts.

While the 37-year-old actress attempted to deny the claims against her and her husband, calling them ridiculous, it seems the jury thought otherwise and now both individuals are facing serious time behind bars.

Reports revealed that the judge for the case is fully intending to hand down a harsh sentence. Pythian is facing 14 counts of child sex abuse, activity which had originally started with the victim was only thirteen years old.

On the other hand, 59-year-old Marke had been found guilty of 18 counts of child sex abuse related to the same victim as his wife in addition to another 4 counts involving another girl.

Both Marke and Pythian’s stories did not add up, as Pythian denied any and all sexual activity with the first victim while her husband confirmed engaging in sexual activity with the victim however his wife was not involved.

A police interview with the victim was played to jurors at the Nottingham Crown Court where she described details of the “repeated sexual offences” between the years 2005 and 2008. She posed allegations against Zara Pythian and Marke that they offered her large quantities of alcohol and repeatedly raped her.

This incident occurred prior to the two getting married, back when they had been martial arts instructors. The girl also mentioned that she had been filmed during some of the sexual encounters.

The victim, who remained anonymous said that, “I knew it was wrong but I just didn’t know how to get out of the situation or say anything. I remember trying to copy Zara’s reaction at the time because I looked up to her and tried to be like her in every way.”

Interestingly, Marke had been previously married to another woman during the time that the abuse began. That marriage later ended after Marke had an affair with Pythian who was actually a teenager when she first met Marke.

Additionally, Marke was also accused of additional charges of assaulting a child concerning a complaint registered by another woman. It came out that the alleged victim had been 15 years old when she was abused by Marke between the years 2002 and 2003.

Judge Mark Watson remanded both defendants in custody until a hearing to decide on bail or sentence.
