Adkins was under investigation by Virginia State Police for over two years. Authorities said they would have little further to release before a trial.
The Virginia Department of Elections shared that Adkins had originally won election to the Buchanan County Board of Supervisors back in 2011.
There have been allegations against Adkins that he supposedly supplied county-owned gravel to privately known individuals through his own construction company.
The elections in Virginia during 2021 serve as a perfect example to show that elections have consequences. Currently, the state possesses both a Republican governor and Attorney General, which is quite telling. That being said, had Democrats won this election, its highly likely that Adkins would’ve never had to take responsibility for his actions.
Adkins crimes were known of and purposely ignored for over two years, only because he was gathering votes for Biden. However, present day shows that the state is trying to eliminate corruption and may likely go for a hefty prison sentences for Adkins in an attempt to scare off future ballot harvesting.
Adkins has since refused to resign from the Buchanan County Board of Supervisors, vowing to continue working in office during the midst of the election fraud charges in court.
Adkins are refused to speak to any news media following the release of the rambling video.
