Intense Video Shows NC Trooper Risking His Life

A North Carolina State Highway Patrol Trooper is being hailed as a hero for placing himself at risk to stop a suspected drunken driver. The brave and selfless act of the state trooper may have spared many lives.

In the early morning hours, numerous law enforcement officers were in search of a driver accused of driving while intoxicated. North Carolina State Highway Patrol mentioned Trooper Cody Thao joined the attempt to stop the suspected drunk driver to prevent innocents from being injured or killed by the erratic driver.

The suspect– Joshua Ray Bibey– was actually accelerating a turnoff in the incorrect website traffic instructions. Thao was actually going over the exit ramp in the proper direction. Thao told WTVD, “Once I saw the vehicle, I just decided to stop the chase right there. This is what we signed up to do, this is what we agreed to do.”

He added, “All the credit goes out to the other troopers who inspire me on a daily basis especially here in Wake County.”

Thao has actually only been along with the North Carolina State Highway Patrol for lower than a year.
