Ivan Harrison Hunter, 24, has confessed to firing his “AK-47 style rifle” at the Third Precinct Police station during the Black Lives Matter riots in Minneapolis, MN. Immediately, leftist click-traps like The Daily Beast, TheGrio, The Spokesman-Recorder, and People have all incorrectly and baselessly begun to claim Mr. Hunter to be “Far-right” and/or “white supremacist” in spite of readily available documentation that the man is a self-described “Boogaloo Boi” as explained by the DoJ in their press release,
“According to the allegations in the criminal complaint and law enforcement affidavit, in late May of 2020, the FBI initiated an investigation into members of the “Boogaloo Bois” based on information that members were discussing committing crimes of violence and were maintaining an armed presence on the streets of Minneapolis during civil unrest following the death of George Floyd. The Boogaloo Bois are a loosely-connected group of individuals who espouse violent anti-government sentiments. The term “Boogaloo” itself references an impending second civil war in the United States and is associated with violent uprisings against the government.”
The Fake Claim Gets Torched, The Writer Gets Roasted
The dishonest, leftist narrative was called out by independent journalist Andy Ngô of The Post Millennial almost immediately.
Even biased @thedailybeast & reporter @rachelolding was forced to update its headline, which was disinformation. No evidence the BLM shooter admitted to being part of a false flag operation. It’s report still contradicts DHS, who says boogaloo is neither far-left or far-right. pic.twitter.com/MhNhf6Mi3O
— Andy Ngô 🏳️🌈 (@MrAndyNgo) December 27, 2021
Ngô was quick to remind Twitter lefties like The Daily Beast and Laura Walker that the Department of Homeland Security called out Politico specifically for misattributing the Boogaloo movement as a left or right-wing phenomenon, but rather as one that is Anti-Government, no matter who is in power.
Another work of fiction by @politico. The @DHSgov intel bulletin does NOT identify the Boogaloo movement as left-wing OR right-wing. They are simply violent extremists from both ends of the ideological spectrum. https://t.co/NDT4hNgqUH

Indeed the criminal complaint flies directly in the face of the the “far-right” assertion leftist outlets have pushed as The Post Millennial reported, “The criminal complaint also details how Hunter had corresponded with Benjamin Teeter, an alleged fellow “boogaloo” member. Teeter pleaded guilty in December 2020 for conspiring to provide material support to Palestinian jihadist group, Hamas. In an earlier interview with CNN, Teeter said he was a “left anarchist” and member of the LGBT community who travelled to Minneapolis to “protect protesters from police abuse and white supremacists, whom he deplores.”
In Hunter’s signed affidavit he affirms that he supports The Black Panthers, as revealed by his social media according to investigators.
The affidavit reads in parts,
“The banner of HUNTER’s Facebook page bears the image of a black panther. As set forth
below, HUNTER makes reference to his support of black panthers in social media postings.“HUNTER posted other messages on Facebook about his activities in Minneapolis.
On June 10, HUNTER posted “I’ve burned police stations with black panthers in Minneapolis”
and “I helped the community bum down that police station in Minneapolis.” HUNTER also
posted, “I didn’t’ protest peacefully Dude … Want something to change? Start risking felonies for
what is good.”s On June 11, HUNTER posted, “The BLM protesters in Minneapolis loved me
[sic] fireteam and I.”“On May 30, HUNTER sent a message to another individual stating, “I set fire to that precinct with the black community,” followed by “Minneapolis third precinct.” On May 31, HUNTER sent the following message to another
individual: “My mom would call the fbi if she knew what I do and at the level I’m at w[ith] it.””
Furthermore, in the charging documentation, Hunter is charged with “with intent (a) to incite a riot, (b) to organize,
participate in, and carry on in a riot, (c) to commit an act of violence in furtherance of a riot, and
(d) to aid or abet any person inciting and participating in or carrying on in a riot and committing
any act of violence in furtherance of a riot”
And then there’s this:
Would someone on the “far-right” endeavor to further a BLM riot? Or high-five BLM protestors and yell “Justice For Floyd”? Nope. So seriously, anyone attempting to ascribe any right-leaning views to Mr. Hunter… kindly needs to do some research first.
Worth mentioning that this publication also tried to say BLM allied Boogs were a far right group
The person in question (Ivan Hunter) posted support for the black panthers, yelled "Justice for George Floyd" during his attack & was w/ Ben Teeter, a self proclaimed left anarchist pic.twitter.com/92d8nHGnvm
