Leftists Demand Governor Pardon ALL Criminal Illegal Aliens

Illegal aliens and pro-open borders leftists occupied California’s state Capitol to demand that Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) pardon all illegal aliens with criminal convictions before President-elect Donald Trump takes office.

Trump has vowed to initiate mass deportations upon taking office, which will reportedly begin with all illegal aliens convicted of additional crimes beyond their initial illegal entry.

Of course, most sane people at least support the deportation of criminal illegals, but the radical left even refuses to support that.

Last week, open borders advocates and illegal aliens held a rally inside the California state Capitol to demand that state lawmakers and the governor take action to stop Trump’s plans to enforce immigration law. These advocates included leaders of several pro-illegal alien groups, such as ICE Out of CA, Dignity Not Detention, and Freedom for Immigrants.

These groups had three main demands for Newsom and California lawmakers. First, they demand that Newsom pardon all illegal aliens with criminal convictions to protect them from being deported.

Second, they demanded that California “refrain from leasing or selling any land that could be used for detention facilities,” according to reporting from the Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR), a pro-border security nonprofit.

The third demand, according to FAIR, states that California “must not use any tax dollars to aid federal deportation efforts.”

The radical leftist activists timed their protest to coincide with the first day of California’s Special Legislative Session, which Newsom convened so that the deep-blue state can come up with plans to stop Trump’s policy agenda, especially his efforts at border security and deportations.

They have already put forward multiple bills to protect illegal aliens, including Assembly Bill 15 — which would prohibit the state from cooperating with federal immigration authorities “by prohibiting the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation from detaining an illegal alien on the basis of a detainer request or providing federal authorities with release date information,” according to FAIR’s report.

Assembly Bill 2 was also proposed, which would give $500,000 in taxpayer funds to the California Department of Justice to fund “litigation expenses” to protect illegals. California already spent a whopping $42 million during Trump’s first term to sue his administration.
