President-elect Donald Trump has fired back at California Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) after the radical leftist called a special session of the California legislature to “Trump-proof” the state to prevent the incoming Republican administration from taking any actions that would affect the deep blue state.
Newsom made the announcement in a post on X, where he claimed that California would be taking steps to “protect our state” from supposedly “unlawful actions” by the Trump administration — falsely claiming that Trump poses a threat to “civil rights,” abortion, and the climate change cult.
“I just called an emergency special session to help bolster our legal resources and protect our state against any unlawful actions by the incoming Trump Administration,” Newsom wrote.
“Whether it be our fundamental civil rights, reproductive freedom, or climate action — we refuse to turn back the clock and allow our values and laws to be attacked,” he added.

Trump issued a fiery response on his Truth Social platform, arguing that Newsom — who he calls “Newscum” — wants to prevent him from “Mak[ing] California Great Again.”
“Governor Gavin Newscum is trying to KILL our Nation’s beautiful California,” he wrote. “For the first time ever, more people are leaving than are coming in. He is using the term ‘Trump-Proof’ as a way of stopping all of the GREAT things that can be done to ‘Make California Great Again,’ but I just overwhelmingly won the Election. People are being forced to leave due to his, & other’s, INSANE POLICY DECISIONS, like the ridiculously rerouting of MILLIONS OF GALLONS OF WATER A DAY FROM THE NORTH OUT INTO THE PACIFIC OCEAN, rather than using it, free of charge, for the towns, cities, & farms dotted all throughout California. They are making it impossible to build a reasonably priced car, the unchecked and unbalanced homeless catastrophe, & the cost of EVERYTHING, in particular groceries,’ IS OUT OF CONTROL. Also, as an ‘AGENT’ for the United States of America on Voting & Elections, I will be DEMANDING THAT VOTER I.D., AND PROOF OF CITIZENSHIP, ARE A NECESSARY PART AND COMPONENT OF THE VOTING PROCESS!”

Despite Newsom’s attempts to become the leader of the so-called “anti-Trump resistance,” California actually appears to be turning somewhat red — as Trump won nearly 40% of the vote in the deep-blue state, with California voters helping to win him the popular vote, something that a Republican presidential candidate has not won in two decades.
