RINO Congresswoman Liz Cheney of Wyoming seems to be making every effort to get Arizona Republican nominees for Governor and Secretary of State, Kari Lake and Mark Finchem respectively, handily elected.
While this most likely isn’t her intent, she’s likely to find it the result.
Cheney, during a Wednesday night speaking engagement at Arizona State University, where she almost assuredly spoke to a room full of Democrats, urged voters to reject Lake and Finchem and characterized them as threats to democracy.
“If you care about democracy and you care about the survival of our republic, then you need to understand — we all have to understand — that we cannot give people power who have told us that they will not honor elections,” Cheney, told the audience at ASU.
“They’ve looked at all of the law, the facts and the rulings of the courts, and they said it doesn’t matter to them,” Cheney said of Lake and Finchem.
“So what happens here in Arizona is not just important for Arizona, but it’s important for the nation and for the future functioning of our constitutional republic,” she argued.
Cheney then attempted to clothe herself in the garb of a traditional Republican to lend her antithetical views an aura of legitimacy… and failed.
“For almost 40 years now I’ve been voting Republican. I don’t know that I have ever voted for a Democrat. But if I lived in Arizona now I absolutely would … for governor and for secretary of state,” Cheney said during the McCain Institute event at Arizona State University.
“We cannot be in a position where we elect people who will not fundamentally uphold the sanctity of elections, and I think that’s got to be, you know, more important than anything else,” she added.
An Unexpected Gift From Cheney
In September, Cheney said she would “do everything I can to make sure that Kari Lake” does not win the race for Governor in Arizona. She even said she would campaign for Democrats. Given that she already caucuses with Democrats in the form of the sham January 6th Committee, this isn’t a stretch.
According to The Hill, Lake said those remarks from her “might be the biggest, best gift I ever received.”
“Liz Cheney probably should change her voter registration. Turns out she really is a Democrat after all,” Lake told the outlet, adding “the people of Wyoming can’t stand” Cheney, and “the people of Arizona don’t like Liz Cheney” either.
