For months now, the United States has been in a state of crisis as the southern border remains wide open and vulnerable to illegal aliens. This has gone on for long enough: it’s time for serious action.
Now, U.S. Rep Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) is vowing to renew her efforts to impeach Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas.
Since President Joe Biden assumed office back in January 2021, more than 6.5 million illegal aliens have been encountered at the southern border – breaking all previous records. This is an absolute catastrophe and it needs to be dealt with swiftly and decisively.
The situation exhibits a complete lack of control from our government officials, making this country ripe for criminals and terrorists alike to wreak havoc on innocent citizens who are just trying to live their lives peacefully.
Rep Marjorie Taylor Greene has been leading the fight against such reckless behavior by introducing articles of impeachment against Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas in order to hold him accountable for his actions – or rather lack thereof. On Monday, November 13, eight House Republicans joined Democrats in voting against MTG’s effort, while 12 Republicans missed out on the vote altogether.
But that isn’t stopping MTG from continuing her mission as she plans on reintroducing articles of impeachment when Congress returns after Thanksgiving break.
When asked by Fox News’ Maria Bartiromo about her plans moving forward, Greene stated “Mayorkas must be impeached and the invasion must stop”. This is something that many fellow Republicans agree with as one member told Fox News “Impeachment of Mayorkas is literally the lowest hanging fruit and we are fu**ing it up” making clear how frustrated some members are with their party’s failure to deliver even one win thus far.
It’s time for Americans across party lines come together in solidarity and hold our government officials accountable when they fail us so egregiously like they have here today.
