A female rapper who weighs nearly 500 pounds is suing Lyft after a driver refused to allow her in his car because she was clearly too big for the vehicle.
Dajua Blanding, who goes by the name “Dank Demoss” as a rapper, requested a ride from the rideshare service a few weeks ago in Detroit, Michigan. However, when the driver arrived at her location, he realized that the 489 pound woman would not fit in his vehicle, and would likely cause significant wear and tear on the car’s suspension and tires — an outcome that is not worth the small fee she would have paid for the ride.
Blanding recorded the encounter, which shows the male Lyft driver stating: “My car is small.”
She responded by insisting that she “can fit in this car.”
The driver once again declined, telling the rapper that he would be canceling the ride and not charging her for it, telling her: “You need to order a bigger car.”
Of course, the entitled woman would not take no for an answer, as she once again insisted that she could fit in his small vehicle.
“What makes you think I can’t fit in this car?” she asked.
The Lyft driver was later heard explaining that he had “been in this situation before,” and also pointed out that his tires clearly could not handle her weight.
NEW: 489 pound rapper Dank Demoss has launched a lawsuit against Lyft after one of their drivers denied her a ride because he said she wouldn’t fit in his car.
The driver was apparently worried that his car wouldn’t be able to handle her weight.

Blanding announced in a social media post on January 27 that she had hired lawyers to sue Lyft for alleged discrimination.
“IF ION STAND FOR SOMETHING ILL FALL FOR ANYTHING,” she wrote, using “ion” as a slang abbreviation for “I don’t.”
“THANK YOU TO MY LAWYERS MARKO & ZACH RUNYAN! FIGHTING FOR MY COMMUNITY MY PEOPLE AND MAKING CHANGE TO THE WORLD. NOT JUST FOR ME BUT EVERYONE. THANK YOU TO MY TEAM AND ALL THE SUPPORT IM GETTING,” Blanding added.
The morbidly obese rapper continues to insist that she would have been able to fit in the Lyft driver’s car, asserting that she had ridden in even smaller vehicles in the past and stating: “I just want them to know that it hurt my feelings.”
Meanwhile, video has surfaced of Blanding filming a rap music video while sitting in the trunk area of a small SUV, where it is clearly apparent that she can barely even fit in that vehicle.

Her lawyers have insisted that because a person’s weight is technically a protected characteristic in Michigan, the Lyft driver denying her a ride is the same thing as denying someone based on their race.
“Marko said that denying someone a ride based on their weight would be the same as denying someone because of their race or religion — at least under the law,” according to an article from Fox 2.
