Trump Wins Massive Victory In Prior Dem Stronghold

President Donald Trump won Michigan in large part due to the votes of Arab-American and Muslim voters in Dearborn and Dearborn Heights.

As was predicted, Arab and Muslim voters abandoned Vice President Kamala Harris’ campaign in massive numbers because of her flip-flopping on the issue. Harris even went so far as to simultaneously air pro-Gaza ads in Michigan and pro-Israel ads in Pennsylvania, which ended up angering both sides. Rather than taking a stand on either side of the issue and risking losing voters, Harris thought she could get away with lying to voters, but failed miserably. Disappointed Harris supporters even admitted that Trump won these Arab and Muslim votes because of a “failure of Democratic leadership” that would not listen to the voters.

Meanwhile, Trump ran on a platform of peace and getting the United States out of foreign wars. Although he was openly pro-Israel, it appears that the idea of peace and noninterventionism was a better alternative to Arab and Muslim voters than the Democrats’ platform of funding both sides of the war.

Trump won Dearborn, which is the largest Arab-majority city in the United States, with 42.5% of the vote compared to Harris’ 36%, with Green Party candidate Jill Stein — who was so pro-Palestine that she even chose a pro-Hamas running mate — taking a small percentage of the vote as well.

The president-elect also won 44% of the vote in Dearborn Heights, while Harris won only 38% of the vote. The mayor of Dearborn Heights, Bill Bazzi, endorsed Trump last month and was a regular attendee of Trump’s rallies in Michigan.

“I’m super excited that we have a change in an administration that didn’t care about nobody,” Bazzi told reporters, adding that he had conversations with roughly 1,000 people about supporting Trump.

He further explained that voters in Dearborn and Dearborn Heights had seen Trump as being engaged when they expressed concerns about the war in Gaza, while President Joe Biden and Harris seemed uninterested in discussing the issue with voters. Trump actually spent time in Dearborn on the Friday before the election, and Bazzi believes that that visit was “crucial” to his victory.

“They don’t want to hear what we have to say,” said Bazzi, who previously served with the U.S. Marine Corps and worked as an engineer at Ford. “But President Trump wanted to know our thoughts.”
