They’ve Been Accused of SABOTAGE

The Defense Ministry of Russia made a surprising announcement on Saturday, accusing personnel from the British Navy of blowing up the Nord Stream gas pipelines in September.

According to Reuters, the government of the United Kingdom has responded to the accusation with London stating that not only is it false, but a mere distraction from the failures of Vladimir Putin’s invasion of Ukraine.

The Ministry of Defence tweeted, “To detract from their disastrous handling of the illegal invasion of Ukraine, the Russian Ministry of Defence is resorting to peddling false claims of an epic scale
This invented story, says more about arguments going on inside the Russian Government than it does about the west”

Moscow failed to provide any evidence or cite any sources for its claim that one of the founding members of NATO and the United Nations had committed sabotage against the critical infrastructural link between Russia and the European Union.

According to SkyNews, a Russian military spokesman, later identified as Major General Igor Konaschenkov said Saturday: “According to available information, representatives of this unit of the British Navy took part in the planning, provision and implementation of a terrorist attack in the Baltic Sea on 26 September this year – blowing up the Nord Stream 1 and Nord Stream 2 gas pipelines.”

Advisor to the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Anton Gerashshenko provided English captioning of the claim from the Russian Defense Ministry’s briefing via Twitter.

In the same briefing, Konaschenkov accused British specialists of training Ukrainian forces in preparation for an attack they launched on the Russian Black Sea Fleet.
