JD Vance Compares Chinese Dictator Xi’s Mindset To Nazi Germany

JD Vance Drops Bombshell Announcement

During a Monday interview, Vice-presidential nominee Sen. JD Vance (R-OH) explained his belief that the mindset of Chinese communist dictator Xi Jinping is comparable to Nazi Germany — while arguing that the United States needs to take stronger actions to “make it as costly as possible” for the communist Chinese government to take action against Taiwan.

Speaking with radio talk show host Hugh Hewitt, JD Vance discussed potential policies regarding China for former President Donald Trump’s second term. Highlighting China’s increasing aggression on the world stage, Vance noted that it is obvious that the communist country wants to seize Taiwan, but it is unclear just how badly they want it and what consequences they are willing to endure to take it.

“I think part of American policy over the next few years has to be to make it as costly as possible for them to seize it by force,” Vance explained. “This is why it’s important to give the Taiwanese the defensive weapon systems they need… because if we make it harder for Xi to take Taiwan, that’s going to change his calculus as much as possible.”

The Republican VP nominee then pointed out how war game simulations have determined that it would be “extremely difficult” to repel China after it began an invasion of Taiwan and established a foothold in the island nation.

Vance blamed the Biden-Harris administration for failing to deliver weapons to Taiwan that are necessary to establish deterrence.

He was then asked for his opinions about Xi, responding that the tyrant was “certainly ruthless.”

“I don’t know that he is a Leninist as much as a sort of ultra-Chinese nationalist in some ways,” Vance said. “I think that the Nazis in the 30s and 40s are sort of a better mental frame for Xi than maybe the Soviets of the 50s and 60s.”

Vance further noted that the Chinese communists truly believe that they are destined to rule the world, while Western civilization is nothing more than a “blip on the historical radar” to the Chinese.

“And so I think that we have to recognize they have extremely ambitious plans, and we have to have our own ambitious plans to counter it,” he argued.
