Melania Declines Meeting With Jill Biden Over Mar-A-Lago Raid

Soon-to-be First Lady Melania Trump has reportedly declined an invitation to meet with First Lady Jill Biden while President-elect Donald Trump and President Joe Biden meet on Wednesday, with some sources indicating that the FBI’s raid of Mar-a-Lago was a major reason for the decision.

It is a tradition for the wives of the president-elect and the president to hold a meeting while their husbands meet, and Melania followed that tradition after her husband won the 2016 election — meeting with then-first lady Michelle Obama at the time. However, it appears that this tradition will not be followed this year, as sources told the New York Post that Melania is still angry that the Biden-Harris administration authorized the FBI raid that included snooping through Melania’s personal effects.

“She ain’t going,” one source told The New York Post. “Jill Biden’s husband authorized the FBI snooping through her underwear drawer. The Bidens are disgusting… Jill Biden isn’t someone Melania needs to meet.”

After the August 2022 raid of the Trump family’s Mar-a-Lago residence, which was prompted by the ridiculous classified documents case against Trump that was dismissed in July, Melania spoke out in a video posted to X about the violation of her Fourth Amendment rights.

In the September video, she quoted the Fourth Amendment in text, which states in part: “The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated.”

Melania followed that up by stating: “I never imagined my privacy would be invaded by the government here in America. The FBI raided my home in Florida and searched through my personal belongings. This is not just my story; it serves as a warning to all Americans, a reminder that our freedom and rights must be respected.”

She further explained that the FBI had “rummaged through my personal belongings.” When asked by Fox News host Sean Hannity whether that made her angry, Melania recalled: “Yeah, it made me angry. Yes. Invasion of privacy. The way it was done, I was really surprised. … I saw unpleasant stuff, that nobody wants to see it. And you get angry because, you know, nobody should be putting up with that kind of stuff. Some person, I don’t even know who, or how many people, they went through my stuff.”
