On March 18, a meteorologist based in LA passed out during a live TV broadcast and the video of the incident is pretty scary to witness.
The meteorologist, Alissa Carlson Schwartz was kicking off the 7:00 AM hour with a weather report about incoming rain for the upcoming week during a CBS LA KCAL newscast.
Sadly, before she could even begin her report, she is seen on air losing consciousness.

Video of the incident shows Carlson’s eyes rolling to the back of her head as she leans forward on the desk before collapsing entirely.
At the time, the two other anchors on air hadn’t seemed to notice that Carlson had fainted until a few moments later. At their realization, they panicked and immediately cut to commercial.

Apparently, this wasn’t the first time Carlson experienced an episode like this, as years ago she threw up during a weather report.
Back in 2014, she was diagnosed with a leaky heart valve. It’s unknown whether this diagnosis played a part in her fainting spell just this weekend.
In an update, TMZ was told by CBS Los Angeles Vice President and News Director Mike Dello Stritto:
“Our colleague Alissa Carlson became ill during our 7 AM newscast this morning. I want to thank her co-workers who took immediate action to comfort Alissa and call 911. Alissa is being treated at the hospital right now. Hopefully we’ll know more shortly. In the meantime, Alissa will be in our thoughts and we’re praying for her to be feeling much better soon.”
Alissa herself also took to Facebook to let everyone know that she will be ‘ok!’.
