You are not going to believe this one…
A case against New York City regarding the treatment of BLM protesters is about to pay the rioters huge.
The city may be paying each rioter $21,500 for violating their rights.
That is $6 million coming out of taxpayer pockets.
Seriously?
I am sure you guys remember those riots.
They were literally lighting the streets on fire and attacking police.
Yet, now they are going to get paid.
Then-Mayor Bill de Blasio appears to support the settlement.
He stated, “With all due respect to the NYPD, the NYPD is wrong on this one.”
The “violation” is because the police reportedly waited until after 8:00 p.m. to charge the rioters so they would be held longer.
It possibly could not have been because of the sheer number of people they were taking into custody, could it?
The suit also stated, “The protesters were cuffed with zip ties, battered with police batons and pepper-sprayed, according to the suit.”
Well, yeah, because they were lighting the streets on fire and throwing anything they could find at police.
I have to say… this one knocked me for a loop regarding the stupidity factor, even for New York.
