In Atlanta, Georgia, one fast moving state trooper shows that they’re trying hard to maintain law and order. It isn’t easy when the local youth thumb their noses at police to regularly take over city streets. One such typical attempt to show off and impress the girls got entirely out of hand on Sunday, August 20.
Atlanta Trooper takes charge
The driver of a Ford F-150 ended up plowing through a clump of onlookers “while fleeing from an officer who caught him performing donuts in the middle of a busy Atlanta intersection.” Videos are going viral.
They clearly show from multiple angles as the black truck circles around “the intersection of 17th Street and Northside Drive on Sunday evening, surrounded by stalled traffic and spectators.”
As New York Post relates, “people filming the street takeover from afar could be heard cheering as a Georgia state trooper arrives, but the truck quickly pivots and rushes a group of spectators as a result.”

Some moved just fast enough to jump out of the way, others didn’t. “Several of the people could be seen getting hit by the truck.” Atlanta police will be adding special charges for that.
That’s when the trooper sprang into action, speeding his own cruiser in hot pursuit. He impressed the citizens of Atlanta with his well trained use of a “pit maneuver.”
That means ramming the F-150, “turning the truck and forcing it to stop.” The video catches that well but things get really interesting at that point.
Driver doesn’t resist
The trooper came out of his ride like Rambo, in a clear and decisive use of overwhelming force, he draws his weapon and leaps like a puma on the hood of his unit.
Grabbing the dazed suspect by the arm, the Atlanta based trooper drags him through the window and flops him down on the hood of his cruiser like a fish.
Without a whole lot of options at that point, the dizzy driver “doesn’t appear to resist, putting his hands up as the officer turns him over and cuffs him.”

At least one of the Atlanta residents “hit by the truck suffered an injury that required medical assistance.” Probably the one who bounced then barely rolled out from in front of the cop, in the video.
Street takeovers “have become an increasing problem in large cities in recent years,” Atlanta is only one of many, all run by Democrats. Their lax prosecution policies and the liberal fad of defunding the police has resulted in regular events where “wannabe stunt drivers” perform “dangerous tricks with their vehicles in the middle of the road.”
Things are a lot worse on the left coast. “LAPD reported there were 7,654 such takeovers in 2021, and about 4,899 in 2022. The statistics for 2023 have yet to be made available.“
