Police in Ottawa, Canada, the nation’s capital, have issued a new warning to protesters participating in the Freedom Convoy: “leave the area now” or you will be arrested.
The Canadian government is ramping up their tyrannical crackdown on the peaceful protesters demonstrating in Ottawa. As the Freedom Convoy continues to protest, demanding the end of authoritarian COVID restrictions and mandates, the police have become more desperate in their attempts to stop them.
Unfortunately for the Canadian government and police, stopping thousands of truckers is a lot easier said than done. Large trucks can’t be easily moved, and tow truck companies aren’t cooperating with the government.
But now, dictator-in-training/Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has invoked the Emergencies Act, giving himself broad tyrannical powers to take away the rights of the peaceful protesters. While Trudeau is busy freezing the bank accounts of anyone connected to the protest, he has sent out his militarized police force to arrest protesters.
A notice issued by the Ottawa police on the morning of February 16th states:
“You must leave the area now. Anyone blocking streets, or assisting others in the blocking streets, are committing a criminal offence and you may be arrested. You must immediately cease further unlawful activity or you will face charges.”
“The people of Ottawa are being denied the lawful use, enjoyment and operation of their property and you are causing businesses to close,” the notice continues. “That is mischief under the Criminal Code.”
Apparently, peaceful protesting in Canada is now illegal, but violent Black Lives Matter riots are fine. According to Public Safety Minister Marco Mendicino, average Canadians protesting for freedom are “extremists” and “far-right.”
“We need to be clear-eyed about the seriousness of these incidents. Indeed, several of the individuals at Coutts have strong ties to a far-right, extreme organization with leaders who are in Ottawa,” he said.
“We’re talking about a group that is organized, agile, knowledgeable, and driven by an extremist ideology where might makes right. And this is completely contrary to our democratic values,” Mendicino added.
These tyrannical leaders are clearly lying, as they don’t even bother to provide evidence for their claims. But the mainstream media prints the lies anyways.
At the moment, the Freedom Convoy is still in place… But for how long?
